The Team and Areas of Ownership

Product User Lifecycle & Seamless Experience (PULSE) is a brand new, cross-product line team that aims to simplify product experience management across the Product Cloud and at every stage of the user lifecycle—from discovery to onboarding, adoption to expansion— by optimising usability and delivering seamless, coherent and modern user experiences.

They aim to bridge gaps in the end-to-end experience and to strengthen the user lifecycle journey through the ownership and evolution of our core systems across Akeneo Product Cloud to continue and drive product-led growth to propel us forward in our quest to become the most intuitive Product Experience Management solution on Earth.

What you will deliver in the role…

  • Be a key contributor to product-led-growth (PLG) initiatives within the PULSE team, such as improving the Free Trial and creating product User Onboarding experience from scratch, among others
  • Own and evolve our core systems, such as the React.js powered Design System, and bridge gaps in the end-to-end experience (activity dashboard, in-app feature discovery, etc) for our global user base
  • Extension of our PHP (Symfony) monolith by building advanced features centred around enhanced collaboration.
  • Expansion of our API integration capabilities across the Cloud Suite and beyond
  • Working cross-functionally with a variety of stakeholders across multiple product lines

What will set you up for success at Akeneo…

  • Demonstrable advanced-level proficiency across Full-Stack Engineering, utilising both React.js on the frontend and PHP (Symfony) on the backend
  • All of our Senior+ Engineers have a good understanding of DevOps principles, microservices, and Cloud-based architectures at scale and are comfortable with deployment and observability best practices - we have a “Built It, Own It” approach..
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to transfer knowledge across the function and upskill less experienced Engineers
  • Stellar communication skills and an ability to “read the room” and adjust your vocabulary to suit both technical and non-technical audiences
  • A test-driven and self-testing mindset where you build quality into your code from the get-go
  • A customer-centric mindset that prioritises understanding user needs and business impact over technical perfection
  • Bonus points if you have strong experience putting best practices and standards in place (eg, test frameworks, performance analysis frameworks, etc.) and making strategic decisions on tech choices and how we deploy and maintain our products in production
